Best Residential Agencies in Portugal
It largely depends on your budget. But here I am just going to cover the best ones that focus in a particular niche — mid-to-high-end residential.
Jones Lang LaSalle — JLL, world renowned for their sales and marketing of 1st hand, brand new developments, JLL entered the Portuguese residential market through the acquisition of a local agency COBERTURA in 2016. They cover most of the new builds in prime zones of Lisbon, Porto and the Algarve.
Porta da Frente — Part of the Christie’s International network. Like JLL, they also cover many 1st hand new developments, and they are particularly strong at their coverage of the Cascais/Estoril region — the most affluent area in the country.
Savills — Their residential branch in Lisbon just opened recently during the Pandemic. Still very new and only representing a small number of developments in their portfolio; but due to their high-end clientele around the world, they will soon make a mark in the Portuguese residential market. They do have presence in Quinta do Lago in the Algarve region.
Castelhana — Strategic partnership with CBRE, the largest real estate advisory in the world.
Quintela & Penalva — Strategic partnership with Knight Frank
Sotheby’s — Strong network and offers some of the most exquisite private listings in Portugal, from vineyards to palaces to stables — they are the ones you should approach if you’re looking for something with history and character.
Fine & Country — Another great agency offering luxury homes.
Barnes — this is a Swiss brand and they do have some quality second hand listings that are also quite affordable.
